I'm not sure if this has already been posted here or not, but The Visual Effects Society and SIGGRAPH are hosting an event at the Creature Shop in L.A. next week (Tuesday night) that includes a guided tour of the Creature Shop as well as presentation and demo of the Henson Digital Performance Studio, which they use for shows like Sid the Science Kid.

This appears to be an industry event that is most likely geared towards people with an interest in visual effects, computer graphics, and digital puppetry. Cost is $20, but free to VES/SIGGRAPH members or anyone who buys a membership on the day of.
