Pointer Sisters Performances

Although these are some of my earliest recollections of Sesame Street, I could remember the Pointer Sisters in HUGE afros, fully dressed in typical 70's styles singing about the alphabet. I remember the last the words to that song were: " A-B-C...and X-Y-Z...(and the sister with the deepest voice would croon)..and M-O-P spells mop, YEAH!!!!

There was another song they did, is it "Yes you can"? It was a very good song. I also remember they did a remake of the alphabet song sometime later. Anyone remember these performances?

It would make sense considering that they did the music for the classic 'Pinball Number Count' segment.:wink:

The 1st song you mentioned was actually called Yess We Can Can which was their very 1st single release in 1973. I don't know if that clip of them performing it was from the same year though it probably was.
