There was a clip of Miss Piggy with Johnny Carson on the Oscars tonight. It was from the year the Muppet Movie came out I believ.

I Saw it, very cool. Miss Piggy asked Johnny why she wasnt nominated. She said "arent i good enough for an oscar?" and Johnny responded with "Oscar Meyer maybe"

Yeah, that was neat. I'm always glad to see The Muppets at the Oscars. I wish they were presenting this year, as it's on ABC.

I nearly fell out of my seat when she came onto the screen. It was really funny. "Oscar Meyer maybe..." I can't get over it!

I think part(s) of the Muppets original Oscar appearance is on the "Jim Henson" special from PBS. Carson isn't shown on it, but it's edited with various stars laughing at the jokes when Piggy won't get off stage until she gets an Oscar.

That's it, I have it and I forgot the name of it. I think the stars reactions to the gags aren't their actual reactions though, I always felt that the laugh track was a bit embellished on that one.

Yeah, that shot of Robin Williams laughing always kind of bothered me as well, I don't know why though. But you're right, it's the best documentary of Jim ever. Very thorough.
