Does anybody remember Petey on Sesame Street? He was the guy that did a rap song about rhyming words. He was probably in his late teens. Does anybody know what happened to him or who played him?

I'm not sure who played him. I think he was on the show from 1984-1986.

Actually, his name is spelled Piri. I actually didn't know for awhile, but I got a copy of a non-Noggin episode from 1986, show 2173, which is closed-captioned, and that's how I found out.

That sounds like a close caption spelling error. They come up a lot.

All I know about Petey is that he appeared in the episode guest starring Phil Donahue where Snuffy was finally made visible to the grown-ups on Sesame Street.
If anyone knows who portrayed this character, please post it here since it will be one more human character with its respective actor on my Muppet Listings.
Thanks and have a good night.
