That movie sounds pretty cool! Very dark, though. It definately will be different.

I'm not sure it has any connection to JH's Labyrinth though. From the article I couldn't make too many connections.

Fozzie Bear said:
anything other than the abused childhood of the director might appear in this movie
Heehee, it does sort of come off that way in the article.

The movie is awesome. I saw it last weekend. Really amazing stuff. Not for kids though. It is VERY gory and has some really harsh themes.

If you get a chance though, go see it. It is definitely one of my new favorite movies.

Wow, interesting article. His take on everything is skewed just the right amount. Sounds like that might be a pretty good movie.

Has anyone seen The Devils Backbone or Cronos? They definitely sound like my kind of movies, I just wonder if they translate well (I'm assuming they're in Spanish of course) with subtitles or voice-overs.

Thanks for the link Kevin!

THIS FILM WAS AWESOME! (very gory) BUT AWESOME!

For all you that are not old enough to watch a rated R film... and dont normaly see gory films... lets just say there is a reason for the R. No sex or anything, just very very graphic, they didnt spare the details. In a way its good, because they didnt spare the details on anything. The creatures were.. wow, Jim would have been proud. The Pale Man was soooooo sweet. http://www.thedougjonesexperience.com/panimage~15.htm so freaky. And as for Pan himself.. well... http://www.thedougjonesexperience.com/panimage~21.htm

need I say more?

Go see it if you can, its quite a gem. The story is very well written, keeps you guessing the whole time.

its like a movie (with out the gore) that Jim would have done I belive his work would have been to that level if he was still alive. Jim (you know it) would be pushing the envelope like this movie has. I honestly coulnt tell most of the time what was CGi and what was Makeup.

I saw Pan's Labyrinth myself this weekend, and I did a review of it for the campus paper. Excellent film, and downright creepy...but I'd never heard of it until I checked the film schedules for that day.

It's just so well-crafted; puts most of what's in the theaters these days to shame.

Sounds interesting. I saw a picture of the faun and he looks amazing! Pity that this movie is R-rated. Quick question: On Wikipedia they say there's a connection between this film and a film called "The Devil's Backbone". What's the connection?
