Palisades Zoot statue question

Hey guys, I recently picked up a Palisades Zoot statue fairly cheap off EBay. The seller said that it was in "perfect" condition, but it looks like two of his fingers (holding the top part of his sax) broke off and were superglued on. My question is--for those of you who know, was this just the way that Zoot was put together (maybe it was necessary to break the fingers to fit the sax in?), or do you think that someone who owned this along the way broke it and did this as a fix? Thanks.

Fingers should not be broken. The sax fits fine in his hands right out of the box.

Hurm. . .debating if I should try to get refund or not. He wasn't very expensive, but. . .a little thing like this can be pretty annoying.

Thanks for the response!

Are you sure it was broken? I could just be where the mold line is.
