So yeah, this thread is Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Not too many people know this, but I'm actually more if a poet than a storyteller (I try to write in my poem journal at least once every two-three days), so hopefully you'll see this thread get updated pretty often,

Without further ado, here is my first Muppets poem! (Unless you count he one that crops up in 'Voiceless', then this is technically my second :stick_out_tongue:). Enjoy! Also, yay for long titles!

When asked why he took the job with Bunsen if he hated being a guinea pig so much, this was Beaker's reply

Mi mi mi mi meep meep mi mo mo
Bunsen?
Mo mo mo mo mo mi
Mi mi meep meep mi mi mi:
Bunsen,
Mo meep meep meep meep mi mi
Mo mi mi meep mi meep.
Mi mi mo mo meep meep,
Meep meep
Mi mi meep meep mi meep.

Translation:
Why did I take the job
with Bunsen?
At the time, I'd been job hunting after University
And I had three job offers:
Bunsen,
Aperture Science
And the Mythbusters Lab as a crash dummy.
I chose the least evil of the three,
And I might complain sometimes,
But I have never regretted that choice.

0_O Weird, I thought I'd read some replies to this thread, where'd they go?

Anyways, I wrote this sonnet for my poetry creative writing class and submitted it a couple of weeks ago. It's based on one of my OCs which will come up in a fic that I'm slowly working on. Enjoy!
Puppet Seamstress

My world is one of cotton, silk and wool,

Of thread and scissors, pins and my machines.

Yet I see my arms and spot the seams,

And thoughts arise that mark me as a fool.

I’ve seen the skins hung up upon the wall.

They call it ‘felt’, and ‘glass spheres’ are our eyes,

The flesh in bags. “stuffing” is the disguise,

And rods and strings to keep us from a fall.

I know how to create a well-turned seam,

How to make a scattered mess into a whole.

So as I see my arms I start to dream

About the meanings of a puppet soul.

“If I can sew my art with these machines,

Then can I, with these machines, create a life?”
