I swear, whenever its a holiday or near a holiday my accident proneness level increases. CHristmas was no exeption. On Christmas eve it all began. I was running and when I step on my right foot, I heard a loud popping noise like when you crack you knuckles, and down I went. I hit the ground hard because I landed on my back with the wind knocked outta me. At least our floors are carpetted. Well, to make matters wrose that popping noise and the pain in my ankle indicated I sprained it! So now I'm limping and any pressure on it hurts. And it feels stiff. But thats not all, today I stubbed my toe on a door this moring and it still hurts, and then I stubbed my other toe on a metal vase I use as a doorstop.

ouch... good job grace! (jk!)

I got a few battle wounds also. We play a game at my familys called Spoons, its kinda like musical chairs, only you play with spoons and a deck of cards. Well here, here is how you play

you have a dealer, the dealer passes out 4 cards to everyone, you dont let anyone see them. The object is to get 4 of a kind (four 3, four 5, four Jacks, ect...)
The Dealer then (one by one) picks up a card looks in his hand, if he needs it (to get 4 of a kind) then he swaps it out for something he doesnt need. and passes it to the next person, if he doesnt need it, then he just passes it to the next person. Who then does the same thing, and so on and so forth in a circle.

NOW in the middle of the table/playing surface, you have spoons, one less than how many people are playing. WHEN someone gets 4 of a kind, then they grab a spoon. Other players *** soon as they see one person grab for a spoon, they grab one too (they dont need 4 of a kind also, just one person) till someone is left with out a spoon, they are now out, and the game is reset with out that person, and you take out one spoon. The last person wins!

SOOOOOO.... I have a bunch of cousins on my dads side (32) and we all LOVe to play, we get like 10 people at once (sometimes if its bigger, we get out two decks and just play it as one deck) anyways... it gets pretty violent... one time 2 of my cousins went for a spoon and they both had it, and were NOT going to let go. There was blood just driping, and they still didnt let go... so yeah. One year we even broke Grandmas table! This year though, I got a good cut on my hand and a huge scrape up my arm. I had fun getting it though. Good times!

Sgt Floyd, I hate to tell this to you, but from what you described about your ankle, I don't think you sprained it... I think you BROKE it! Believe me, I've sprained my ankle before, and although it wasn't a picnic, there was no loud popping sounds nor was too much pressure intolerable; in fact the way you described you ankle sounds exactly whathappened when I broke my toe by ramming it into the metal part of a chair: the loud popping sound, the intense pain, the way pressure on it hurts like heck...

I know how you feel, I'm a very accident-proned person as well.

You sound like my kind of luck! I was taking the dogs out this morning and rolled my ankle. The sad part is, I roll and twist my ankle so much that it doesn't affect me NEAR as much as it does other people. Although my ankle has been sticking and such all day, I'm really not in pain.

Although my sciatica didn't get the note it's Christmas  It's been horrible all day in my right knee!

I'm very sorry for you Sarge:sympathy:

I have prayed for you regarding your accident proneness from time to time. I do thank God for at least one time you told me your accidents had remarkably disappeared or dropped down considerably by PM, and I hope you have had many other breaks from your breaks. But it is not for us to question why God won't take your accidents away 100%.
We may not understand why we may have to suffer in this world through one thing or another but we have assurance through Christ that we will one day live forever in eternal paradise where there will be no more evil, hardships or pains.

With our sins forgiven by Jesus death and resurrection, whatever misfortunes come our way will be recompensed when the world is cleansed of the wicked influence Satan has infected it with. I look forward to that day.

Bless you Sargey. You're in my thoughts and prayers:flirt:

Geez, you sprained it just like that!? Sorry to hear that! You sit down and rest and have a sip of some root beer flavored hot chocolate.

I remember mine... Ah, what a day! Broken ankles and Tiny Tim! We laughed, we played... well, not WE, but everyone else who was still mobile.

Hope it heals up soon!

Well, my ankle is ok now...for the most part. I can walk on it without limping and it doesnt hurt when I put pressure on it anymore, but if I run to hard or step on it in the wrong way, it hurts a little. As for my one toe...(this was yesturday) when I went to pull my sock off...I just slept with them on because I was so tired....I find the nail split about a centemeter down the toe, and there was dried blood. I must have hit it pretty hard to do that!
