Hmmmm...I'm thinkin' they recorded the tracks separately and morphed those together, and then Jim Muppeteered one while someone else did the other, and the Muppets "lip-synched" (as always) on screen, so they didn't have to visually morph.

I'm pretty sure the tracks were recorded separately and when they taped it Jim did Rowlf because at the end of the version in the movie Rowlf does a scat type thing and you can still here Rowlf and Kermit harmonizing at the same time. Which is weird because I would have thought Jim would have done Kermit.

I have a feeling Frank Oz did Rowlf and Jim did Kermit.

No, Jim had to have done Rowlf. Rowlf did a separate scat that was not on the pre-recorded tracks. Someone else had to have done Kermt.

Guys,

Actually Jim would have done Kermit, Notice how Kermit doesnt look the same when someone elses hand is operated him.

You can see on The Muppet Show that when someone else is performing him his head is often a weird shape.

Warrick's right. When Steve plays him, the face becomes distinctly different.

They also can't have a left-handed person playing the frog. His neck and face doesn't shape right at all then. I know. I've tried it with my Kermit puppet. (that cheap-o Fisher Price one)

Yes, but you can't keep skipping over the fact that Rowlf spoke words not on the music track. Maybe who ever was doing Kermit happened to get the right shape. Rowlf speaking while Kermit sang is proof Jim did Rowlf. End of story. :stick_out_tongue:
