Wha? And here I was looking forward to my Saturday off this week to catch up on the newly-starting series like Legion, The Batman, the new Spider-Man, and Yugio GX on CN which is much farther along in the third season than what's airing on Fox.
This does disappoint me... But then again, I guess that's why they sold off Pokemon and Yugio.

Some small good news though, looks like Toon Disney's Jettix is turning into what Kids WB used to be. They have The Mummy exclusively on weekends, Jackie Chan Adventures, and they just added the Superman and Batman Animated Series, along with Pinky and the Brain. Hopefully, Animaniacs and/or Tiny Toons won't be far behind. Although it only lends creedence to my position that Toon Disney is filled with nothing but dead programming except for the current season of Power Rangers, at least it's something we can trust in.

Well, apparently having the choke hold it has on Saturday morning TV, the only broadcast network to even have a decent spot in the ratings, just isn't enough. Cartoon Network keeps threatening to kill itself by airing lousy tweencoms since Disney is high in the ratings with it's formuliac TV shows. If I wanted to watch Zach and Cody, I'd watch this it's basically the same thing, especially the second one.

Now, here's where it gets confusing. They were doing amazingly with Tom and Jerry, The Batman, and the Legion of Superheroes. They might keep those. But then again, giving a company that can barely run its own network a second network is totally distressing. I mean, these are the actions of a suicidal person. Just throwing it all away like this. But this actually is American business. Whenever you are ahead, and lose a couple bucks, pull your butt out of there and take whatever you can.

I'm absolutely fuerous with their decisions. Absolutely. They don't need to have to compete with the only other 2 options for children's programming. We don't wan the same thing everyone else likes. That's what's wrong with TV today.

First Fox Kids disappeared a few years ago and now Kids' WB? I just wonder what shows we'll see next year? I just hope CN, Nicktoons, and Disney will come out with new better shows soon. Or we can only hope that a brand new cartoon studio will rise and bring us better shows in the future.

Fox Kids died only because Disney bought the Fox family channel and got all the Saban shows. Haim Saban pretty much ran the channel for several years until then. Originally, it was run by Margeret Loasch (sp?) who was an executive producer on Muppet Babies. This is also why Disney had to release the Tick DVD's. They had it on for one year to fill out the contract, and they moved the more profitable shows to ABC family, and later Toon Disney.

giving this network to 4kids I feel is a humongous mistake. Put aside everyone's feelings about the dubs and everything. They just can't run a business flat out.

I'd kill for a new cartoon network to rise from the ashes. Something like Teletoon America or something (It's a Canadian channel that runs CN shows, plus various others, and they've launched a Retro channel recently with Fat Albert, Hanna Barbera cartoons, and Looney Tunes).
