_Space is a space-adventure comedy series chronicling the escapades of the starship Underscore and it’s crew.
The series is destined to be a studio-based production filmed in Perth, WA in 2013, and has been inspired by such series’ as ‘Star Trek’, ‘Firefly’ and ‘Farscape’. The program is a tasteful homage to these legendary science fiction series of the past, and though often humorous and eccentric, pays a tasteful tribute to these remarkable archetypes.
The series features an armada of captivating characters, but centres it’s focus on the egocentric Commander Rix and his newly assigned superior officer, the maverick Captain Terryn. Livid at his rival’s promotion, Rix abandons his post for the first time in 7 years, during which occurs the unexplained disappearance of the luxury vessel the Titania. (And it’s 86,331 passengers.)
With no other option, Rix is forced to swallow his pride and align with his former adversary, Captain Terryn in order to save their own hides and track down the Titania, while attempting to cover up their horrifying mistake from Earth.
So join the Underscore as they embark on an inconceivable quest of adventure, Gayliens, Space-Cakes, Alien Sex-Scandals, and countless others sprawled across the galaxy.
All because of one man’s cosmic f_ck up...
