You might not have noticed, but the little toyshop I managed in San Francisco closed down in February due to the horrible economy and the tucked away location. Well, I got word today that Action Figure Freddy is coming back, and this time we'll be in SF Chinatown!
The life of a freelance artist is difficult and it's jobs like this that not only float me, but it drums-up client business too! This time around I get to help build the store from the ground up.
And, yes, we'll still carry Muppet items! In fact, I might exibit my posers there. If Rizzo ever get's friggin' made, he'll be there too. I'll have to see the space. Going tomorrow. It's at 112 Waverly Place. I'm so stoked!
Our target date is the second week in April. Once we open, if you are in San Francisco...come visit me in our funky little Chinatown shop. Jewels like this are disappearing from the American landscape. Megastores are great too, but we're clinging to the idea that people would rather get personal attention in a local shop.
Details to come. After 7 weeks off, I'm back in the world of employment.
