You might not have noticed, but the little toyshop I managed in San Francisco closed down in February due to the horrible economy and the tucked away location. Well, I got word today that Action Figure Freddy is coming back, and this time we'll be in SF Chinatown!

The life of a freelance artist is difficult and it's jobs like this that not only float me, but it drums-up client business too! This time around I get to help build the store from the ground up.

And, yes, we'll still carry Muppet items! In fact, I might exibit my posers there. If Rizzo ever get's friggin' made, he'll be there too. :shifty: I'll have to see the space. Going tomorrow. It's at 112 Waverly Place. I'm so stoked!

Our target date is the second week in April. Once we open, if you are in San Francisco...come visit me in our funky little Chinatown shop. Jewels like this are disappearing from the American landscape. Megastores are great too, but we're clinging to the idea that people would rather get personal attention in a local shop.

Details to come. After 7 weeks off, I'm back in the world of employment. :super:

So glad to hear that, Jamie! If I were in the area, I'd be there in a minute to check out your store! What kind of Muppet stuff will you guys have there? Do you plan on selling Rizzo, or is he too exclusive to get ahold of for sales?

Thanks! I just visited the location today and we should be open one week from Monday (right after Wondercon SF). It's a great little space and postcard views all aroung the area.

I will put my Master Replicas Muppet posers on display there. If EFX Rizzo ever happens we'll probably order one and put it on display too. We also sell a few Palisades action figures when we get them in stock. We still have some Johnny Fiamas.

Mainly we have art prints, action figures, store excusives, store originals and other toys.

I'll be painting on Tuesday! Yippeeee! :excited:
My confirmed work days will be Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. I'll also be there on other days as needed.

May I just say...incredible poser collage there!

Sounds so cool! You should take some before and after shots, so we can see what the place will be like!

That is SO exciting, Jamie! I know how much you love that store and it's so great to see it come back. Congratulations on finding a job and moving from starving artist to artist with an annual income! :stick_out_tongue:

But in all seriousness... That's fantastic! And if I'm ever in San Francisco, you had better believe I'll be stopping by!

Almost There!

We are planning to open by this Thursday, but I won't be working until Sunday. I'll let you know. By the way both me James V Carroll and Action Figure Freddy are on Facebook.

My Muppet posers will hopefully be installed in the store by then. We're located at 112 Waverly Place in Chinatown. The cross street is Clay and it's one street down from Stockton. Here's a concept photo of what the site kind of looks like before we get to the window dressing and other things.
