Hi everyone!
Among my many hobbies and artistic pursuits, I enjoy making puppets. It's not something I do professionally, although people think I have a knack for it and have urged me to do so....for me, it's just fun to make puppets.
I created a look-a-like puppet "sidekick" for my friend, "Bottom-of-YouTube" Commentator and Reviewer BlindViews. Like his namesake, he is legally blind/visually-impaired, and he has a different perspective on things, sharing on YouTube about his experience of being visually-impaired and the way he see things, ranting about the crazy world and the people that inhabit it. On his YouTube channel, he puts out straight-talking commentary without "fluff" or political correctness, all with his trademark line: "I'm BlindViews, and THAT's the Way I SEE it!" So, as an act of "fan appreciation", I decided to create a little Muppet-style puppet that BlindViews can use sometimes in his videos. As a production project it was both challenging and fun to conceptualize and create a puppet that resembles someone -- a puppet that captures a person's iconic look and expresses his personality. So I took care to mind the details to make sure this puppet would resemble BlindViews.
Working on it "piecemeal" a couple hours at a time, altogether the process took about 5 days to make the custom puppet. I then mailed the package (containing the puppet and some custom puppet accessories that I made) from California to Pennsylvania, were BlindViews lives...it took 14 days, but the mailman got the package to BlindViews safe-and-sound. He received and un-boxed the puppet on April 11, 2018 and I think he really enjoyed it!

He named the puppet "Seymour" ( "See More", get it? Since he's visually impaired ) Many of his viewers also thought his new puppet was a hit, too.
