Tomorrow I'm driving down to the Annapolis Valley to witness my cousin Lily Margaret Whistler get christened. Now while technically I cannot take part in the ceremony (I'm an atheist) I will still be there to respect my aunt Susan and uncle James. And I'm bringing down a Kermit as a christening gift.

Hey that's neat you say that because tomorrow morning I also am going to a family christening. It's my two month old niece who is being christened.

Yeah I became Uncle Ziff for the first time 2 months ago. It was a very nice time this morning. Got to see some family from Georgia that I haven't seen in four years, the weather is absolutely gorgeous, and the baby didn't cry during the church service once (she politely waited until she got home to start screaming because she was hungry).
Hope it went well for you as well, thatannouncer.

Congradulations to both of you!
By the way Ziffel, what is your niece's name?

Her name is Abigail. Already everyone is calling her Abby. I imagine her parents will call her Abigail when she misbehaves!

Hi all. I'm posting this a tad late (the christening was Sunday and this is Thursday), but better late than never!

The christening went wonderfully. Lily only cried once, and the preacher was very funny and friendly. The church was small enough that I felt like it was a personal celebration. Afterwards, we went back to their place for snacks, and then we headed home. Some pictures of her might show up on my website soon enough.
