Today we were all watching "Under the Tuscan Sun", a very amazing movie which draws one in completly, when a character emerged from a house holding a baby and...an Elmo doll.

Of course I squealed and pointed and cried, "Elmo! Elmo! Elmo! Elmo!" And was met with mildly annoyed looks, and a laugh. But you know what they'll be thinking next time they see an Elmo doll...they shan't be able to keep quiet!
I found myself doing this yesterday in the downtown mall...... my sister and I were shopping for shoes, and we went into a skate shop. They had a bunch of different shirts for sale, and I was looking through the sale rack when I found one with Elmo on it. It said "tickle me". I quickly pulled it out and was like "Elmo! Elmo! Look look it's Elmo! Wyone, LOOK! ELMO! It's sooooo adorable!" My sister gave me the strangest and most embarassed look.......

Haha. I'm assuming your sister is younger than you? If she's anything like you and me, she'll reach a certain point where she doesn't care anymore. But tweenagers get so embarrassed if they are associated with "kid" things.

The other day one of my flatmates made the mistake of mentioning that their favorite Sesame Street character was Gonzo. The stare they recieved cannot really be coveyed in written form I'm afraid.

They then went on to insist that Miss Piggy once appeared on Sesame Street. I explained that she appeared as a drawing in a Three Little Pigs sketch but that was as far as the connection ran, grathius...

*cough* Not that I get snooty of protective or pretentious around Muppets...nooo...

Yeah, she's 16. Hate's being associated with "frilly" things, or even most things I'm interested in.

Ok, so... this kinda fits but kinda doesn't. The other day at school, I was chillin with some of my friends between classes in the lobby of the auditorium. One of my friends always has his electric guitar with him, and happened to have his amp with him that day. So, anyway, this other guy I've met like, twice before walks in and starts talking to the first guy. And I'm just sitting there, kinda listening in on their conversation (the second guy was trying to figure out where he'd heard the riff the first guy was playing - the first guy didn't know), and I was like, wow... this second guy is really chill. Like, he's kinda out there in his own world, but he's got a way about him that makes him really cool. And they way he talks totally reminds me of someone.... but WHO?

I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out who this guy reminded me of, and it totally hit me today while I was at work! I was like: FLOYD! Oh my gosh! It so fits him! This dude is like, Floyd in human form! It was crazy.

Yesterday a flatmate asked me if I knew that the Muppets had done Wizard of Oz. I stared, jaw slightly agape...Did I know? I, the fount of all Muppet knowledge so far as they are concerned, do I know that there is a Muppet Wizard of Oz movie?

My dear friend...I could write a 10,000 word thesis on how the Muppet Wizard of Oz is closer to the original book than the MGM movie, and how the slippers should be green and not red!
