Here's another fan-fic for The Muppet Show I did (broken into several parts):
COLD OPEN: A bunch of famous singers of all genres are seen backstage. Scooter shows up.
SCOOTER: Attention, everyone! 15 seconds to curtain!
KERMIT: Uh, Scooter? Did you check the schedule?
SCOOTER: Uh, let's see, uh... wait a minute! It looks like we're doing this show ourselves!
KERMIT: Scooter, how could this have happened?
SCOOTER: I don't know, I... I... I must've put them on another show!
BARRY MANILOW: Well, I'm leaving... to face a bunch of teenagers who don't like my music! Let's go, Tony, Ringo, Michael, and everyone else. (I am of course, talking about Tony Bennett, Ringo Starr, and Michael Bolton)
(The singers then leave the theatre)
(opening drumroll)
KERMIT: It's the Muppet Show, with our very special guest stars... uh... ourselves and a bunch of other Muppets from around the world! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!
(cut to opening sequence)
(Statler & Waldorf gag: The hecklers blast very loud rock music)
(Gonzo trumpet gag: A small Big Bird doll pops out)
(backstage, Johnny Fiama is waiting for Sal to give him some papers to give to other Muppets, who are to sing their signature songs)
JOHNNY: Oh, where is he? SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
SAL: You rang, Johnny?
JOHNNY: Where's those papers?
SAL: Here they are, Johnny! I can't wait for this great event!
JOHNNY: Thank you, Sal. Here's a couple of bucks. Go buy something for yourself.
SAL: OK, Johnny!
(end of part one)
