I'm sorry to say I don't have any proof links, but my World Religions teacher informed me this morning that, over the weekend, he saw that Disney is announcing the release date of The Muppet Show: Season 2 any day now. I know that sounds like limited hope, but I'm thinking that we're gonna see some validation in this soon!

ANY DAY NOW!!!! ANY DAY NOW!! SHRIEEEKKKK....(faint)....(gets up)...Oh my stars and consellations, the second season is my absolute favorite.. I loved all the guests and everything was a bit more fluid with the songs and cast.....sHRIEEEKKKK....(faint..)
