Hi, I'm not sure if I should post this in the puppetry forum or here but I figure I'm just basicly asking questions about The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight so I might as well.

How long did it take to produce and episode of The Muppet Show or Muppets Tonight from Pre-production to aired episode?
I heard they did a whole episode within a week.
Did they air the episode as soon as it's produced, say the very week it's completed or did they just film the whole season and aired them all as soon as the season was completed?

Was there a workshop near the studio in case of last minute building or repairing?
I heard that there was one during The Muppet Show but I'm not sure about Muppets Tonight.

And finally what was their production budget?

I wanted to ask these questions so I can get a good idea of how television puppetry shows are made. Especially my favorite, The Muppets

In terms of TMS, it usually took a full week from pre-production to studio taping. Looking at the air dates compared to taping dates, I'd say there was approx. a four-month buffer.
