Hi, I was wondering if there was a list somewhere of all the DVDs ever released and or available or coming soon to the US and the same for the UK. If there isnt a list somewhere could someone please post the names of all the DVDs they know about.
It would be appreciated, its just I would like to know what DVDs they have in the US and UK.

Thanks in advance,
from Paul :smile: :confused:

I have heard that Muppets Take Manhattan isnt available in the US
(region 1) or was that title just a late arrival.

I was reading a review where they compare the Australian (region 4) release of the movie to the US one and it said its not available in the US.
Maybe it was an old review.

thanks,
from Paul :smile:

"Muppet Treasure Island" was widescreen in the UK, but not the US.

It's available in the US, and showed up when it was originally announced...

For US DVD releases (all Region 1), we have:

* The Muppet Movie (widescreen/fullscreen)
* The Great Muppet Caper (widescreen/fullscreen)
* The Muppets Take Manhattan (widescreen/fullscreen)
* A Muppet Christmas Carol (fullscreen)
* Muppet Treasure Island (fullscreen)
* Muppets From Space (widescreen/fullscreen)
* Kermit's Swamp Years (widescreen/fullscreen)
* A Muppet Family Christmas (fullscreen, as originally broadcast, edited, see FAQ)
* Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas (fullscreen as originally broadcast, edited, see FAQ)
* Time-Life Best of the Muppet Show, Vol. 1-15 (volumes 5-15 only available from Time-Life, who don't ship overseas; volumes 1-4 available through Columbia Tristar and all regular outlets)
* Labyrinth (widescreen, available in regular or "Superbit")
* Dark Crystal (widescreen, available in regular or "Superbit")

Coming soon (on August 26):
* The Storyteller Collection (9 episodes)
* John Denver and the Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday
* Muppets Magic from the Ed Sullivan Show

And there are tons of Sesame Street DVDs as well, most notably (in my opinion) "Sesame Street Presents Follow That Bird" (fullscreen only) and "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street".

Hope this helps!

Oops, and I left off "A Very Merry Muppet Christmas", coming October 7 in the US, and then "John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together" on November 4 in the US. Probably everyone's aware of these, but I mention them for completeness. :smile:

They sound like a great bunch of DVDs! :smile:

I only wish they were all on DVD here, what a thought!
I should just get them all from the US, I actually like the region 1 DVDs, I like to have an option to watch the movie in either widescreen or fullscreen, sometimes fullscreen is good to watch.

The DVD media around here have given the NTSC a pretty bad name and making it seem like its the worst thing around, they think our PAL system is the best, I prefer the PAL system but NTSC is ok too. :smile:

Well, that's very nice of them, but really, there's no need. NTSC already has a bad reputation ;-)

PAL is vastly superior - it was designed specifically to overcome NTSC's limitations and faults. It's by no means the best available system - for example, SECAM was designed to sort out a further problem which both PAL and NTSC still suffer from - but it beats NTSC into a cocked hat.
