This is old news...we've heard about Muppet Haunted House for years, but did anyone know it was in active development as little as a year ago? According to fox.com the creators of Greg the Bunny were working on the script last year.

Has anyone heard anything since then?

Brian bought the script from some writer years ago, and yeah it was always mentioned on the licensing sheets as 'in development' upto last year. Also 'Muppet Time Travel' is always mentioned besides it. No idea about the Greg people or them actually developing the script. I guess maybe Henson are trying to recoup the money they made buying the thing by getting it re-written into something they can finally shoot.

Thanks Matt, I was trying to find that thread but it didn't come up in a search for some reason.

With Miss Piggy's recent appearance on "Hollywood Squares," the host Tom Bergeron mentioned a few times that that the Muppets are working on two made-for-tv-movies.

No other information, but it has been rumored/suggested/made up that they may do some more holiday-themed movies: Halloween and Valentine's Day.

Who knows? If it could have the same flavor, musical numbers, and character moments that "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie Thingy" had, I say BRING EM ON!

Bring um on sure, BUT not Muppet Haughnted House. I sware I would die if they made it.

If they didn't edge on the muppets enough with the Whoopie Goldburg God thong and the (Super Scooter don't read this) Cage Dancing thing, I think that turning the Muppet's into Goasts would be apouling and it is quite unthinkable.

I'm all for it. Take the Muppets in an interesting direction. I find it amusing how people turn on a concept without having read the script. I'd love to see the Muppets parody horror films. It's a genre they haven't tried yet. Most of all, a Halloween special could potentially come this year. Just becase they are being shot doesn't mean they will be released this year. Oh, I hope at least one will be. :concern:

Guys,

Just think, All those newly refurbished Frackles !
And they added Scabby (Blue) and Moe (Green) Frackles to the clan!

Hey, I wonder if they would rebuild Thog ?

I think the Muppet Monsters are one of the best parts about the Muppets, A special with lots of them would be fantastic !

I can still remember rewinding and rewathcing the 'cold opening' of the Julie Andrews Episode, It would just amaze me !

see ya

I would love to see a Muppet Halloween special. Halloween is my second favorite holiday right behind Christmas and seeing as Kermit and Co. have all ready done many Christmas specials, Halloween would be awesome!!!

My vote for human guest stars on this show would be first and foremost, Ozzie and his freakish family! How cool would that be? Not so much main parts but if they showed up. Snoop Dogg should be on this one. As well as Paula Abdul:flirt: The only reason she should be on there is so I can have another chance to see her so that I may lust! Plus I'm sure she did awesome on her turn on "Muppets Tonight!"

Although I'd love to see "Cheapest" made more than any other of the Muppet Movie ideas we've heard about, I think it would be great! I think less important than the premise of the next Muppet Movie is the fact that they make one - whether it's for TV or theatre just to do something and make sure it is well-written would be great. A return to the annual specials of the 80s would be fabulous too!
