Just found the promo on YouTube. It’ll make a great addition to the Masked Singer page on Muppet Wiki.

So here's another nod. CNN started up a new show called Have I Got News for You, airing Saturdays at 9 PM EDT, it's kind of like what The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (not the Green Lantern) used to be mixed with Who's Line is it Anyway?, a topical comedy series of games stitched into one big show by host Roy Wood Jr.

One of their games is Meet in the Middle, where they have two teams of four celebrities and questions are asked of the panelists to name the duo that correctly answers the themed query. On today's installment they had "Circus Gets the Square", asking which celebrities were circus performers. The answer was Christopher Watkin as a liontamer and Pierce Brosnen as a fire eater saying he demonstrated his skills in 1997 on an episode of Muppets Tonight.

That alone would have made my night. But wait, they aired the whole segment from the episode when Pierce shows Gonzo and Clifford he can eat fire or breathe it out. To which Roy Wood Jr. then asked an important question... "Aren't Muppets flammable? What are you doing letting that man on set?"

Glad this made it into the show. :fanatic:

Dunno why this thread hasn't gotten any posts in the last half-a-year, but here are two, two Muppet references!

You probably know about Bambas's sock campaign, where if you buy a pair of socks they'll donate a free matching pair to charity. So there's a commercial out there where I heard a certain gravelly voice saying the same motto, "Buy a sock, give a sock", and I thought is that... And the announcer confirmed my thoughts by saying "That's right Cookie." Yep, Mr. :insatiable: himself appeared in that Bambas commercial.

Then today I saw a commercial for Samsung/Galaxy tech-phones about saving green as in saving money on their overall purchase costs. And at the end, the voiceover announcer guy says "It is easy being green, the frog is a liar." Which caused me to go into a rage, shouting "No he isn't! You'd know that if you heard the song all the way to the end where he says it's beautiful and it's what he wants to be!!!"
