I believe there had been a Muppet Show Christmas special scheduled to air during December 1977,during The Muppet Show,s second season. But I never got to see it,for two reasons.First reason,A Flintstone Christmas was scheduled to air that same night,at the same time.I was so excited by that,I had forgotten about the Muppet special.Second reason,we lost our cable temporarily, due to stormy weather outside. So I was beat in both categories,so to speak.Does anyone remember,or know anything about this particular special?

X-mas is also right. Christ translates to X in Greek, which is why it was nicknamed X-Mas.

Actually the right way to spell that holiday celebrated on December 25 is Christmas Day.

X might equal Christ in Greek, but yo! We live in America, so your storyline is weak...

(that part's from an early rap song by DC Talk)

The point is, I knew about the Greek language thing, but not too many people know that and so it looks more like Xing out Christ from Christmas rather than having X stand for Christ.
So I just prefer to say the whole thing as in Merry Christmas!
