My mother found a little cross on a chain that she gave me for Christmas about three or four years ago.
It was around the time when we were having our bad clashes and for a long time I put it aside forgetting about it initially but while I was still living with the family I overheard Mum telling Nan how disappointed she was that I never wore it and then I started doing so though the bitterness of our conflict was still present. Eventually I stopped wearing it again and then I moved out into my unit where I've been for 2 and a half years.
The Lord has been at work in reconciling me to the family, especially Mum all this time and I was looking for the cross because I wanted to have it again. Mum found it stashed away in some cupboard over at the family home and I thank my God that I found it and can wear it again to remind me how much I need to depend upon Him who willingly yielded up His life on an actual wooden cross to reconcile me to my Heavenly Father and to my family as well.
