If you are talking about me, im not that new actually, I was even a member at the old Delphi forum (but never posted) but I have been coming to muppetcentral for years. I just must have skimmed past muley the mules photos before.

Thanks for liking it all, gang! It makes me feel good.

Once I get the file type changed on the comic strips, I'll be posting those in the Muley Comix album, and older stuff will be posted into the classic Muley mix--including the earliest drawing I have of him from 1980, older comic strips, and photos of him with droopy ears rather than ears on top of his head.

Originally, in 1979, I created a hound dog that my grandfather said was "muley lookin'" and then I changed the dog to a mule, which am Muley. On Jan 1, 1980, I decided he would be my character and until 2001 he got confused as a dog or monkey--then The Buckets cartoonist, Greg Cravens, and my best pal Lin Workman, sat down with me to advise me what I could do to improve my art--and they were brutally honest and I SO appreciate it now--and then I gave him a fuller mane, the shorter ears on top of his head, and I shortened his tail (to what you see today).

There's an incorrect self portrait of myself in the Muley Comix art, too; I'm WAY balder and fatter than I thought I was...then I realized the truth when I got a photo when I was adding legs and feet to one of the 2 new Muley bodies, and you'll see it online--skinned-head and all. Ick! The self-portrait will have to be changed, as it was going to be used in a compilation comic book of Mid-South Cartoonists Association member artists, and I have a page of either 2 or 3 Muley Strips and the "At The Show" cast drawing, one of the strips includes the 'golfing' strip seen in the photo gallery.

Anyhow, keep them eyes on the Mule because new pics are to be added very soon: a friend and his family with the Mule, the newest Muley puppet in his suit when he sang at a friend's wedding, the new puppet body when he won't wear any clothes (and go au natural like in th comix), and more Friends' pics. 2 new galleries will be added: Portfolio (art I do for others), and Friend Arts (artwork my friends have done).

I think I also want to get folks I know to try to draw Muley as best they can--in their own style or whatever--and that would be interesting, too.

Oh, and Muley is going into print again--in color!--in a local magazine "The Animal Times" in September.
