Hi, gang!

Guess what? Yep, Muley went to Knoxville with his pals Lin, Todd and Matthew, and me! Why? For AdventureCon, of course. After the event we took a trip down to Gatlinburg (we took a group photo at the city's sign) to see the haunted houses there, and while driving down the Gatlinburg strip (stopping every 10 feet) Muley gave us all big laughs by hanging out of the truck window and making conversations with passers-by!

The trip was originally because Palisades Toys, the makers of some fantastic action figures, was scheduled to be there, and I'm a HUGE fan of their Muppets action figures. Travis from their company was down and little was I aware that I had sat next to, and chatted with him, back during MuppetFest in December 2001 in California (but he had yet to work fo Palisades at that time).

THEN! It was announced that one of my big-time heroes was going to be there as well: Ernie Hudson! Yes, the 4th (and sane) Ghostbuster, Winston Zeddemore, was making an appearance. And, it all got better still: Anthony Daniels, aka "Star Wars" C-3P0, would be there (an extraordinarily nice guy-superb!), as well as Felix Silla better known as Cousin Itt on the tv series "The Addams Family!" Unfortunately, the digital camera that was snapping the photo of Muley and I as Felix autographed our photo decided that we didn't need that picture, and it never got saved. :frown: Digital is NOT always better!

I also want to introduce you to Stabbo the Clown, a mascot who will appear at the haunted attraction Nightmarez! this year. This clown is a riot! See the web address below for more Nightmarez! information.

Enjoy the pics (in no particular order) that follow!!

Your pals,
Kevin and Muley

Neat. I met Anthony Daniels back in 99' at SW Celebration 1 (pic on my site). I really ought to put that $400 royal guard costime into action sometime...

Anyway, its kinda sad when a puppet has met more famous people than you, lol.

What's really sad is when you open your mailbox and invitations to parties are in it, but they're all for YOUR PUPPET...

I hate that...

Sounds like you had an awesome time! Those conventions sound really cool. I soooooo wanted to go to the sci-fi fantasy one earlier this year attended by all these Star Trek and LOTR people, but it was in London...

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who has driven through Gatlinburg with a puppet out the window. Great stuff, Kevin. I can't believe you stopped at Cooter's, although, you did mention you had a thing for Daisy as a youngster.

Great stuff.

Cooter's! Here's the funny thing:

The car in the photos is from the convention. We're driving up the strip into Gatlinburg and realize, "Well, THERE'S another General Lee!"

Come to find out, there's at least 3 in that same region. Just like on the show.

Beau, move to Memphis and you'll be able to meet all these cool folks, too!!

There was a newspaper article in our local waste-of-trees paper about some guy who had seen his life long dream of owning a 69 Dodge Charger painted like the General Lee come to fruition. He even welded the doors shut.

I don't know which is more pathetic--a) this guy's goal in life was to own this car or b) that is what passes for news in my town.

It's a wonder he wasn't wisped away to heaven as soon as the paint dried. I can't help but think that with all the rain that we've had this spring, he must have the only bright-orange, Confederate flag bearing Koi pond in the world.
