MSCA ANTHOLOGY #2!!
Alright, folks. It's the moment you've all been waiting for. After much ink, sweat and tears, Overdrawn and Underwritten, the second comic anothology by members of the MSCA, is finally here! Go to Lulu.com to get your shiny new 51 page copy for only $6.50!

Better than the first book because this is a 4-page Muley story rather than a compilation of comic strips. If you click on the link provided you can see who all the artists are involved with the book and a preview of several pages from the book, including Muley's new story "Eddie Bubba's Baby Brother," which will also appear in his comic strip compilation book, "Muley's Comix and Stories."
Now, to toot my friends' horns:
You all know my friend Lin Workman (who is co-creator of Bushi Tales (www.BushiTales.com) and my Blues Brother and Beetlejuice) and he has several comic pages in the book. My other friend and his wife, Antone and Janet Wade (www.toshigawa.com) have a story about his character Jetta.
Greg Cravens (http://www.cravenscartoon.com/), internationally syndicated cartoonist/writer for "The Buckets" and artist Adam Shaw (www.abshaw.com) appear in the book, as does Mississippi Journalism Award Winner Jack Chapman (www.chapmancartoons.com).
Other creators in the book include comics writer Jason Negen (you can find his writing in some of the online comic stories at www.toshigawa.com), Andrew Chandler (www.andrewchandler.net) who is the book's editor and cover artist, and Jim Palmer whose "Li'l E" comics have graced many magazines and newspapers over the years.
We will also all be promoting the book and on hand for signatures at our comics convention, www.con-sequential.com, which will be happening Oct 13-15 at Southwest Tennessee Community College, featuring the MSCA's very popular "Cartooniversity," where folks get a hands-on experience learning how to publish comics from creation to publication, as well as create a portfolio for review.
As a quick and important side-note, Muppet Central's own Earl Kress (WasOnceErnie) and Steve Troop (melonpool) will be at the convention which is very exciting!! They're very cool and it's been a year since I got to hang out with them, so I'm looking forward to it!

In other news, on September 3, Muley went down to the FedEx Forum here in Memphis, TN, to interview some of the American Idol hopefuls for his "Mule on the Street" interviews and we met very many nice people. While there, a friend of ours from 94.1TheBuzz radio, Dana Fox, introduced us to Kimberly Caldwell (an AI finalist now reporting for the TV Guide Channel) who interviewed Muley and it should be appearing on the TV Guide Channel around the time the new season of American Idol begins. Hopefully!
