What's the official name of the former muppeteer, Brian Muehl or Brian Meehl? I think I've even read it as Brian Nuel.

Also, is there a reason for why the spelling in his credited name varies?

Brian Muehl changed his name to Brian Meehl, which is how it was always pronounced. I believe he did it to avoid conversations like this! So Muehl was correct, but now Meehl is correct. Nuel is way off.

Thanks. I didn't realize it was always pronounced sounding like "meal" with a long E, but now I know.

I just discovered that Brian co-wrote an episode for Kids Next Door. It was about an underwear monster!

While we're at it, for so many Muppet projects in the 70s and 80s, Caroll Spinney is credited as "Carroll". What was up with that? Surely they didn't mis-spell his name for so long without it being noticed
