XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Today's V/A focus is one of my most favorite CBS Saturday Morning cartoons from the early 90's, Mother Goose and Grimm. Based on the comic strips created by Mike Peters. About a goose woman and her hyperactive dog, Grimmy, who have wacky adventures in a modern fairy tale city. The two main voice artists, Mitzi McCall and Charlie Brill, happened to be married in real life.

MITZI McCALL: Mother Goose, Marge Flea
CHARLIE BRILL: Grimmy
GREG BURSON: Attila, Magic Mirror, Thor, Aldo Flea, Big Bad Wolf
EDDIE DEEZEN: Ham
JACK BURNS: Detective Fogarty
HAL RAYLE: Rottweiler the Dogcatcher
TRESS MacNEILLE: Carl the Wonder Poodle

And here's the opening theme song. And you can find most of the episodes on youtube.

Hey Cullen? Haven't you done a V/A focus for Mother Goose and Grimm before? I seem to recall that, or maybe a seperate one for one of the voice actors?

No, I haven't done a Mother Goose and Grimm before. But in a Darkwing Duck focus, I mentioned Mitzi McCall who voiced Ammonia Pine. And I also did ones for Greg Burson, Eddie Deezen, and Tress MacNeille.

Hmm- I seem to recall perhaps a Mother Goose & Grimm cartoon special or something, but not an actual series. Cool to know! I'll have to check it out- I definitely enjoy the comic strip.
