Some more Muppet Treasure DVD Audio Commentary Questions:

During Brian Henson's commenting, he (on more than one occasion) says that Sam Eagle's puppeteer is Kevin Clash. I can understand Kevin doing Sam, being he probably could pull off the voice. But, when the credits roll, it states that Frank Oz is doing Sam (like it should be!). Can some one explain this to me?

Another would be one of the Hidden Treasure parts of the AC, which is when the miniature scale model of the boat is shown in the studio parking lot. Why is it out there, and what are they doing with it?

Yet another would be during the Hidden Treasure part when it shows the 3 puppeteers working on Kermit during the "fight" scene. Could anyone make out if Frank was one of the puppeteers working on Kermit there? Reason being is that Kevin Clash is working Piggy during that scene, and if Frank wasn't doing Kermit, there'd be some 'splainin' to do!

And finally, my original question, does anyone know who is working the Tim Curry puppet that Tim is sitting with in one of the Hidden Treasure segments? I'd be very interested to know.

Any help is appreciated. Thank yaz!

First and Third questions: All dubbed, my man. See, Frank was unable to be on the set, so Kevin performed the puppets, and later Frank came back and looped the voices over Kevin's. It's been done with Franks characters for a while now (of course, now, with Eric, they really don't need him)

Kevin Clash performed Sam the Eagle, Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy for all of Treasure Island, except for a couple of scenes where Frank played Piggy.

Kevin had a tape recording of Frank reading the lines at a table read-through which he based his performances on.

He particularly enjoyed playing Sam, which may be why he looped Sam's lines for VMX rather than Eric or John.

So basically its like what Ryan (Scooter) said, that he did the performing and Frank did all the voicing right? Also for VMX, did Kevin puppeteer the same characters again? And if so, why the heck did he do that when we have the young and able-bodied, Muppet devoted Eric Jacobson on the job??

Oh, I'm so confused..

Kevin was not on set for the Christmas movie. He was in New York working on Sesame Street.

Eric Jacobson performed Piggy and Fozzie, both voice and puppetry. I don't know who puppeteered Sam, but Kevin recorded the voice.

I've wondered who did the Tim Curry muppet too. Does anyone know why they let Kevin do the voicee of Sam when the new fozzie does the Frank Oz voices so much better?

As I said before, Kevin had a particular affinity with Sam, which may be why he looped Sam's lines rather than Eric Jacobson or John Kennedy.
