A coupple of times on this forum, I have made some truly terrible typing erors. At the bottom of posts, there is a button labeled, "edit/delete post." When I click on it, howeveer, I find that I am unable to delete. I have searched the entire page several times, and I can not find that option. Am I missing something, or does it really not exist.

You could simply delete your entire post and just say "post deleted".

That's what I mean. I can not find a way to delete them, and I do not like to have my worst writing in the public view.

you erase the entire post and type "message deleted" instead of just changing grammar and stuff. If you want you can even ask a mod to actualy remove the post as if it never existed.

You can edit a message for several hours after you post it (giving time for people to make grammatical corrections). Only mods can delete messages, however, and that is handled on a case by case basis.
