Cold Opening/ Lobby
Pops greets Dick Van Dyke, who trips over an automan (pops: "now what is that automan doing in the lobby?").
Introduction
Kermit says that he hopes to pay tribute to Dick Van Dykes other past works throughout the show.
Opening Number: Supercalifragelisticexpealidosious
Geri and the atrics sing this hard-to-pronounce song from Mary Poppins.
Balcony
Statler thinks that songs title should be the name of the show, because it would never fit on a marquee.

Song: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
The Jugband gets a chance to sing a song.
Backstage
Kermit tells Dick van Dyke that his act is next. However, Dick doens't want to do the act that was planned (a parody of The Dick Van Dyke Show). Instead, he wants to do a skit where he plays a lumberjack. He can get the skit ready, but needs beauregard to build a new set. kermit wonders why every change has to happen at the last minute.
Balcony
waldorf can tell that a new set is being built. statler moans over having to wait an extra long time for the next sketch.
backstage
Dick has told eveybody what the sketch is about and is ready.

Skit
Pops and Gramps portray supervisors to Dick van Dyke as a lumberjack. Dick has to chop down a tree, but a beaver gets in the way, takes his axe, and tries to chop Dick Van Dyke.
Muppet Labs
Bunsen rubs a special lotion on Beaker that makes him shinier. Unfortunately, beaker dissolves becasue of the lotion, and Bunsen doens't know how to bring beaker back.
U.K. Spot: The Dick Van Dyke Show theme
The orchestra plays the theme song from the dick van dyke show. when they get done they still have some time left, so rowlf suggests that they play a mix of the dick van dyke show and muppet show themes.
Dressing Room
Scooter tells Dick to get ready for the next act, but he has a problem with this act (again) and has a better idea.
Backstage
Scooter tells kermit that the next act has to be replaced as well. Kermit tells dick van dykes co-stars (crazy harry and three whatnots pushing a cannon on-stage) that the sketch is canceled.
Muppet News
An all-new sport has been invented: horshoe bending. Luncehon Counter Monster puts a horshoe around the newsmans neck and attemempts to choke the newsman.
Sketch
Dick plays a bank manager who runs out of money for his employees (Beauregard, Fozzie, Annie Sue, and Floyd), so he attempts to make money by selling chickens. However, the chickens refuse to go with the potential buyers (Gonzo, Zelda Rose, The swedish Chef, and Animal).
Backstage
Kermit tells Dick that it is time for the closing number, but figures that Dick wants a change for that too. However, he does not want a change.
Closing Number: Why Do You Build Me Up, Buttercup Baby?
Dr. teeth and the Electric Mayhem back up Dick van Dyke for the closing number.
