Cold Open
Conrad Twitty arrives, and Pops informs him that he has to be tarred and feathered.
Introduction
Kermit introduces the show. Kermit is about to introduce Conrad Twitty, but gets called backstage, since Conrad Twitty has ben tarred and feathered (and Gonzo says that he's his kind of performer). So Kermit instead introduces Fozzie Bear.
Fozzie's Act
Fozzie is pleased to be performing early, which makes Statler and Waldorf wish they showed up late. Fozzie decides to make jokes about Conrad Twitty's situation.
Muppet News
The Newsman gives a report on a "News Bandit", who attacks people invovled with the news. On cue, the News Bandit appears and attacks The Newsman.
Backstage
Gonzo plans to do an act in which he dances upside-down, but Kermit thinks that's ridiculous. Meanwhile, Conrad has washed off all the tar and feathers, and is ready to go on.
Introduction
Kermit introduces the one and only Conrad Twitty.
Song: Its Only Make Believe
Conrad sings in a barnyard to an audience of cows, horses, pigs, rats, and chickens. However, during the corse of the song, the various animals turn into monsters, gawky birds, snerfs, and koozebanian creatures.
Balcony
Statler: That number was ridiculous.
Waldorf: Well, it was only make believe.
(Statler turns into Fozzie)
Statler: You call this make believe?
UK Spot: The Blue Danube
Rowlf, Floyd, Janice, Lips, and a few whatnot musicians play The Blue Danube.
Bear on Patrol
Patrol Bear has arrested The News Bandit, who has decided to retire and convert to "The Police Bandit", and beats up Patrol bear and Link.
Balcony
Statler and Waldorf comment that the bandit is now their favorite character on the show.
Backstage
While upside-down, Gonzo begs Kermit to let him do his act.
Song: I'm Eightteen
The baby band performs the Alice Cooper song.
Introduction
Kermit announces that Conrad Twitty will now do requests from the audience.
Conrad Twitty's requests
Conrad asks the audience for suggestions, and an audience member (who sounds suspiciously like a high-pithced Gonzo) asks to see Gonzo do ana ct upside-down. Gonzo quickly runs on-stage and appears upside-down, and sings "Pure Imagination". Conrad comments, "I was tarred-and-feathered for THIS?"
Backstage
The chickens all ask for Conrad's autograph, to Gonzo's jealousy.
Introduction
Kermit introduces the closing number.
Closing Number: Danny Boy
Conrad sings Danny Boy, backed by Lubbock Lou and his jughuggers.
Good Night
Conrad Twitty and Gonzo bicker as Kermit ends the show. Other Muppets on-stage include Rizzo, Gaffer, two pigs, the news bandit, and Gramps.
