This outline takes place during the fifth season.
Cold Opening/ Lobby
Billy Joel signs a new guest book that Pops has, and Pops instantly notices that Billys signature is different from his signature on his contract.
Introduction
Kermit introduces Billy Joel.
Opening Number: Just The Way You Are
Billy Joel, accompanied by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, sings to an ugly woman who keeps losing parts of her body.
Balcony
Statler: I like this show just the way it is.
Waldorf: Really?
Statler: No.
(they laugh)
Backstage
Floyd, Dr. Teeth, Zoot, and Lips talk about how much fun it was doing that number, but Scooter tells them that they have to stay on stage for the next number. hey hurry on stage.
Song: Help!
Floyd leads the band with the beetles song. Zoot plays a tambourine while Lips plays maracas.
Lobby
Pops reads all of the signatures in his guest book. However, he realizes that Billy Joel is the only guest star to sing into the book.
Introduction
"And now, once again, here is the piano man himself, Billy Joel! Yayyyyyy!!!"
Song: Piano Man
Billy Joel sings to Rowlf, who plays the piano. Beauregard plays the harmonica.
U.K. Spot: Ragtime Cowboy Joe
It's time for Lobbock Lou and his jughuggers to sing.
Backstage
Pops: Hey, Kermit.
Kermit: Yes, Pops?
Pops: Did you sing my guest book?
Kermit: No, I am the host, I do not need to sign your guest book. (leaves)
Pops: aw, rats. (Sees Fozzie walking on-stage) Hey!
Fozzie: yeah?
Pops: Did you sing my guest book?
Fozzie: Why don't you check your guest book to see if my name is in there?
Pops: Of course. (Checks guest book) Uh, what's your name again?
Dressing Room
Miss Piggy chats with Billy Joel, who shows her his ant farm. Miss Piggy is disgusted and leaves. Dr. Teeth comes out from under the table, and he comments that they got her good.
act
Gonzo decides to have a cow ride on his back. The cow is heavy and hurts Gonzo. Gonzo doesn't mind.
Backstage
Camillia shows up. Apparantly, she was supposed to ride on his back, but was late and the cow was the only replacement he could get. Meanwhile, Pops gets Luncheon Counter Monster to sign the guest book, but he then eats it after signing it.
Closing Number: Vienna Waits
Billy Joel plays the piano in a french setting, and starst by singing to Miss Piggy, and then being joined by Kermit, Floyd, Janice, Annie Sue Pig, some pigs, Louis Kazagger, and Lips.
Balcony
Waldorf: You know what else I think vienna waits for?
Statler: What?
Waldorf: Vienna waits for this show to end.
(they laugh)
Good Night
As Kermit tries to close the show, Pops comes on-stage to try to get Billy to sign his guest book. Billy reminds Pops that he already singed it. Pops checks the book. He asks Billy which signature is his again. They are joined by Miss Piggy, Rizzo, Lips, Rowlf, Annie Sue Pig, Luncheon Counter Monster, and Zeke.
