After reading Sean Johnson's Excellent tutorial on Puppet101, I decided I'd try to make a puppet like that myself. Esther Bunny is the result.

I didn't get too many pictures of her construction, but if you'll notice, I had an assistant for a bit. She still needs arm rods, and I'm open to suggestions about how to handle the ears so they don't flop around.

Enjoy!  :excited:

Did you put wire in the ears? How are they constructed?

I didn't put the wire in them. I adapted a pattern from about.com that I found for some haloween bunny ears--the kind you'd find on a headband. I stuffed them with blocks of foam. I'm just not sure how to anchor them so they look right.

Wes, you're partially right. This puppet is the first one in this style I've made. I've done sock puppets, and even knitted them. Thanks!
