Matt Robinson- Jan. 1, 1937 - Aug. 5, 2002

He was a member of two of the most lovable families in pop culture: the Muppets and the Cosbys. In 1969, Robinson (whose daughter is actress Holly Robinson Peete) joined the cast of Sesame Street, where he helped break racial boundaries by giving voice to kindhearted Gordon and purple-faced Roosevelt Franklin. But he truly hit his stride when he became a writer on The Cosby Show; he stayed on for seven seasons, in spite of a battle with Parkinson's (he died of complications from the disease). With that kind of spirit, it's no wonder he could play well with the Muppets.
