Marionette Hand Suggestions

Hey guys!

I am making a marionette of The Joker. This is his head to give you an idea : .

The issue is making his hands cartooney enough as he seems like he would have caricature proportions.

The first pair of hands were made from wire skeleton.. covered in masking tape for support..bulked with cell u cloth.. and then sculpted over with polymer clay. **** things just still looked too dainty and the finigers too thin.. even though the proportions were correct. It has to do with the over all caricature look.. Im sure of it.

Would anyone have any experience in making hands for a marionette? Perhaps any ideas in general that might help me acheive a more exagerated appeal?

I have limited experience with marionettes, but an easy (albeit slightly more expensive) solution might be buying premade hands Spectacular Dimensions.

sculpt them in clay,

you can get a kit at many art stores to make a silicone mold(at least the stores around me have them)
