Making the "Yip Yip" Martians from SS

Has anyone tried to make replica's of these puppets? As my mechanical skills are better than my sewing skills, they seem like they would be fairly simple to make. I probably won't in the near future due to other obligations, but the idea has entered my mind and I wonder if anyone has tried.

I haven't tried, but if I remember correctly, they were made from a lady's hat. I don't know if that helps, but there ya go.

I didn't know what you were talking about so i did a search on "Yip Yip Martians from SS" and they have a video that was so cute. hope this helps.
