Late 80's-Present Fozzie

I've noticed that in some recent Fozzie appearences (at least up to MFC), he has a sort of mushed-up face. Kinda la cross between the Fozzie we know and love and Kevin's attair. Why was this change made? To made him look more like a real bear?

The last time I saw Foz look 'normal' was probably JHH / Muppets @WDW. I really prefer the old puppet better... he's too squished these days.

I think the metamorphosis began with MTI and then sorta spiraled from there. He's squished in VMMC as well as his Muppetism. Just look at him in Weezer's "Keep Fishin" video -- he looks REALLY weird in that one. The body is all huge and the head is tiny.

Oh well. Looks as bad as he sounds these days (Foz's revoicing gives me a headache).

of course, Fozzie looks a lot better now than his stretched face from the early '80s. When his head looked like a giant egg, or something like that.

The face sculpt for the Fozzie figures is absolutely perfect -- I wish they used a puppet that looked like that.

Fozzie looks like a monkey.

This started with MTM when just about all of the characters got new looks. You'll also notice the begining of Animal's hair loss in this movie. My favorite Fozzie is GMC Fozzie and late Muppet Show Fozzie. These days he looks strange. He looks very squishy.

I noticed that too in VMC. Weird...

I think VMC shows Fozzie looking more like his old self than in other recent productions. The avatar Warrick made me (which I'm showing now) shows Fozzie looking his "bestest."
