Who is, or was, the biggest monster on the street? It always seems that Cookie Monster might be tallest, but it could be Herry.

What do you think?

I do think it might be Herry. He's always seemed to be the biggest.

Are we counting Muppet insert sketches? Then technically, the biggest monster would be (tra-la!) Splurge. Even though it was a cameo appearance.

I only know of one sketch he appeared in, where he scared Kermit away. I don't think there were others, but I could be wrong.

I imagine Splurge would count!

So, Splurge is biggest, with a tie between Cookie and Herry?

Who was the little monster at the bottom right of the screen during "C is for Cookie" song? He may be the smallest!

I noticed that muppet too. The only time I saw him (besides C is for Cookie) is when he, Herry (with a blue nose), and Grover would change their ordering to show that even though they changed places, they're still three monsters.

I think Beautiful Day Monster was about as big as Herry. (That is, the big version, not the tiny finger-puppet version. ) Then probably Cookie Monster as the next biggest after those two.

I'd forgot that Beautiful Day Monster was on SS also.

If I really wanted to be pedantic and silly on the subject...

Unless I miss my guess, that little pink monster might have started out as the smallest, but in one skit he grew to be the biggest...... although he was "matted" at the time.

Likewise Cookie Monster did shrink to become the smallest in another skit... by moving back into the background.

But I guess this isn't what you all had in mind, was it.

I believe that tiny monster was named Billy. I think he was supposed to be a 70s version of Elmo, but he failed.

Nah, I meant which was the largest or smallest on their NATURAL scale...not in enlargements or whatever.

(And not counting costumes.)
