For Muppets, Kermitage is the best but Henson database is great for everything else.

What about you???

First off, not sure this is a fair discussion, since Muppets_dk who designed Henson Database is a memeber here. And since the Kermitage database was created with help from JHC who provided all the pics, etc.

However, I must say that Kermitage is a great sourse of Mupept pictures and information, except the pictures cannot be saved, unles you cleverly know how.

The Henson Database is an awesomely huge project, and has marvelous cross-referenceing.

Actually I don't mind at all about such a discussion. The reason is because I don't consider the 2 sites to be in any form of competition, in one small way they are similar but on other points theres big differences on them.
A discussion will also help me to get an idea what people think and help me to improve the site even more.

Yeah it's huge and it's far from finished, I got big list of stuff that I want to add both entries and new functions, that I hope will improve the site. I won't say anything about whats to come here (a few selected people know whats on the way) mainly because I won't promise to much that turns out to be impossible to implement on the site.
Now I will sit back with a fresh cup of cofee and write more code for the next function, that will be added in the near future.

I love Henson database. The Kermitage is well designed, looks flashy and smells like a fresh Starbucks Chai mixed with that new plastic toy aroma. But if you wanna' get serious and get down and dirty, the complete Henson database is the place to go. I'm blown away with the amount of information on there.

I think they are both good. Kermitage is only really for muppet show characters though. I think I like the search on henson db best. I don't know whats happened to the search on kermitage but maybe its just me that cant find it.

Well... I value both websites for the contributions they've made towards my own project. And I thank Muppet_dk for his immense help with new and old characters alike.

HPDJ, not sure if you've seen it yet, but I run and update the "Muppet Listings" threads. For right now, it's just a basic rundwon list of all Muppet characters from the entire Muppet Universe, both Muppet and human. It's on version 15.0 in the Classic Muppets section of the forums, working on version 16 which won't be ready till December after the last episodes of Sesame Street Season 36 are aired. One day, when I finish my law studies and a couple of other things, I plan on taking my Muppet Listings and going gangbusters on it by turning it into a media campaign. Internet website, audio recording and print versions of the Muppet Family Album would be published containing descriptions of everyone therein. And other tomes in the collection would be episode guides chronicling all the productions included within the pages of the Muppet Listing itself.
Then again, it's just a dream for now, hope you guys enjoy the Muppet Listings, compiled with ever-growing help from sources like both of the websites in this discussion.

kermitage

I like the character guide in kermitage better, even though it is limited to just the muppet show. I hope that some day (really soon) they add another character guide, either for little muppet monsters, the jim henson hour, or muppets tonight!
