How would you like to join the biggest, most interactive fanfiction of any fandom about?
How about a fanfic ran presidentual campaign with the true intention of being as realistic as possible, with all the bells and whistles of a real life campaign?

Some years ago, a character from Saturday night live ran a fake run for president, and actually earned enough votes to be counted.
few years later, Micky Mouse made an appearence on the ballots.
What do you say to it being Kermit the Frog's turn?

He built his own entertainment boom from the lilly pad up!
Fought Darth Gonzo!
Was the first to dare the inter-species marriage prejudices.
Hey, and he'd be our first president of color!

If you want to help, we need writers, reporters, debaters, pictures, anyone who knows how to run a campaign, and, most of all, we need people to spread the word.

And, hey, if the election goes our way, Kermit and gang are gonna need a little help running the country.
After all, what and how will Kermit handle the issuse of today?

Rampaging gas prices?

Illeagle imigrants (hey, wonder if Gonzo falls under that catagory . And, does the sweedish chef have his papers in order?)

Well... A couple of small things.
It wasn't Darth Gonzo... The name of the character portrayed by Gonzo was Dirth Nader.
And I'd say you've got your first potential storyline already there... Finding, battling, and squelching the mudslinging campaign waged by a pig who keeps trying to convince everyone that she and the frog are married with back-issue tabloid journalism.

I think it's a great idea, and shshould be very interisting to follow! But poor Kermit! Does he really have a chance of winning with the controversey over Gonzo and the Chef?
And Matt, Gonzo in charge of security?! I don't know...
Oh, the possibilities are endless! I'm already having so much fun thinking about this!
But, just a suggestion... Shouldn't we wait until election, in order to make it more realistic, or does it not really matter?

But, hey, 'bout timing, don't folks have to prep before startingthe run?
And we might want to get a few muppets in some key positions pass the word around get folks excited 'bout the possibilities figure out where he's gonna stand on such and such issues...

Like I said I don't have a clue what I'm doin'.

Though think it'd be fun if a little unwise to have fozzie in the war room.

And hey didn't Piggy sneak in a real preacher in the wedding in Muppets Take Manhattan?

I do have a Yahoo! Group set up as Campaign head quarters though I haven't been here long enough to be able to post the url.
And I hope to put an official site togeather.
Not sure what location would be best to work on. Here or the group.

Did I mention I don't know what I'm doin'?

Gotta be someone with flair.
with a quick wit...
knows which door isn't locked when exiting the stage...
and can put them over eager reportes in their place without causing major scandal.
Speaking of scandal...
what are we gonna do with Animal? ???

Wonder if any of those big shot big whig celeberties that made appearences on the Muppet Show and in the movies would give kermit their support?

Yes... That was a real minister in TMTM... But the thing to remember is that it was a Broadway play they were performing inside of a movie, and the events of Muppets movies aren't always 100% literally truthfully representative of their actual lives.

Not quite sure how I did it, but I did see your Yahoo group. My suggestion would be to have the main hub of it here, since this site is a larger resource, and many people may not have access to the group.
