Yes, that's right. He's Steppin' Down, not Out at least not yet.
The news has hit the community like a bombshell, and we're still feeling the ripples. The article's at Palisades Toys website's main page.
We'll sorely miss you Ken, and we wish nothing but the best for Kim as she manages the lines to get us the greatest quality Muppet/Sesame figures we could dream for.

Ken was the one that went out of his way to spearhead the whole thing with the direct communication of fans. This was the first ever direct fan to company figure line.

Aaaw, I'll miss Ken. But hopefully he'll get to spend more time with his little one.

That's partly the reason why he's steppin' down. He'll relocate his family to Ohio and we'll probably hear less of him than we already do. He'll still stay on as a consultant though, at least till 2005 ends.

So, for those who are keeping score at home...

That former Graphics Designer known on the boards as "Slim"...
Erika "EvilE" Lewis...
And now Ken "ResidentLilly".

And we're left with... Kim Madison as the new Director of Product Development at PT.
Rully hoping that Palisades' quality and love for detail and the fans remains as integrally as possible with the upcoming Muppets and SS releases.

Ken will surely be missed by all the collectors. But you can't blame him for wanting more for his family. :sympathy: And I am sad he is leaving.

Here's a question. As an avid MC surfer, I just found this Ken Lilly quote:

Ken Lilly said:
"The day that a mass produced product hits shelf that I am totally happy with is the day that I will retire."
So, did Deadly finally fulfill his wishes?

You'd have to ask him directly, either by resurrecting the Ask Ken thread here on MC's forums or by asking him over at Palisades forums in the "Official Questions for Muppets!" thread after becoming a member there.
But I don't think so since he said that UD's nosewhips couldn't be produced and attached to the figure in mass production.

Then again, you'd have to ask him directly like I said. Hope this helps.

Really massively sad news, Ken is THE best thing to EVER happen to Muppet merchandise. I wish him well, and have really enjoyed all the interaction him over the years - he's not just been the product guy to us, he's been a great friend!
