Hey, everyone,
Some of you old-timers know the circumstances behind my losing my job of seven years last year with the Salt Lake Newspapers, and how messed up THAT was, and the 4 months of unemployment right when the new baby was on the way.
That was the worst time of my life. Ever.
But things are looking up--I took this absolute bottom of the barrel job with National Car Rental as a reservation agent, making not very much money at all, and then doing side gigs as a German Data Entry person with American Express, substitute teaching, etc...all to try and keep Melissa at home with Miles and put myself through school (never should've gone back).
Anyway, I guess the people at National Car Rental have seen my inherent greatness, and after a TWO HOUR interview, they've promoted me to a position that has me making within a dollar per hour of what I was making at the Newspapers. It's a three dollar per hour raise, and a MUCH better job. It'll be much better for my self-esteem (although I was still arrogant as a lowly peon), much better for our wallets, and take a lot of the stress off of us.
Which means we can spend more time staring at our cute boy.
That's it, just wanted to let y'all know!
Life is wonderful, and I love it.
Quinnnnnnnn
