A few weeks ago I checked out this Post on a Stop Motion Johnny Quest title seq. , it's really fantastic work. But what hit me was the last picture on this page. A big no duh right, of course by using a flat panel monitor and changing the feed or just changing the computer desktop color to a flat GREEN or BLUE you get the Perfect vibrant Key color . When lighting green or blue fabric or paint it can be a huge headache with shadows or wrinkles to get a evenly lit strong key.. You can't use a NTSC tube type TV or Monitor or you will get a interlaced flicker on video

Take a minute on lighting your puppets and then shoot away..dump into After effects or any keying software and usually with one click you will have killer Matte Pass

This sample was made with the Iphone 4 ( the HD video is really great) a small homemade tripod and a 21inch Monitor

Get interested in all that surrounds you and it will make your passions stronger!

That's a very cool trick, I have never thought to try something like that.
