Hi all,
Here is some information on a puppet video short that I was a part of this past summer. It was great fun and was done on a very cost effective budget.

Shot on digital video camera, the space was borrowed, the crew were all volunteers (including myself; they were a great group of people, and besides they bought the puppets from me), the music, and editing were all donated.
Aside from the cost of the puppets, the biggest expense was the Swiss Chalet chicken and fries that was ordered to feed eveyone.
It goes to show you that with planning, drive, and a whole bunch of volunteers (which are out there) you can accomplish a lot.
For those of you who dream of making a small puppet video, don't give up. Make your puppets. Borrow that digital camera from your friend. See if you can film in you friend's garage. Find out if anyone has editing software on their computer and is willing to donate their time and equipment.
You can get it done.
I don't know what the final cost of the production was, but I think that puppets aside they spent $150 on food.
