Hey, you know what Iv'e always thought would be a good idea for a skit on Sesame Street. Biff singing that song from the 80's "That's what friends are for" to his pal Sullly. What does everyone think of that?

Hmm,That might sound good,But Sully would speak in mute maybe.

That song was originaly made by Ernie singing it to Bert in Bed from the mid 1980's. :stick_out_tongue: :frown:

Besides,Biff might be singing different words to Sully Like Ernie did to Bert in Bed.You know about their own stuff he sings about What Friends Are For.

I think you guys are thinking about two different songs here. I could be wrong, but I think one of you is thinking about the song by Burt Bacharach:

"Keep smiling, keep shining, knowing you can always count on me, for sure. That's what friends are for."

The Ernie and Bert one includes such lines as:

:stick_out_tongue: You like pigeons...
:frown: I love pigeons!
:stick_out_tongue: Well I don't mind if you like pigeons. If you like 'em, I don't mind it, that's what friends are for.

I might be wrong, but it sounded like you weren't thinking of the same song...

Yeah your'e right, that's the one I was thinking of, for some reason I always thought it would sound good coming from Biff and it would be cool if he sang it to Sully.

I've often wondered if it would ruin Sully's character if they ever had him speak. It is hilarious how Biff never lets him get a word in edgewise, but it does tend to limit what can be done with Sully's character. I wonder if Sully's speaking could be considered a natural evolution for the character, like Snuffy's being seen. Then again, I know absolutely nothing about the current shows and am not even sure if new segments with Biff and Sully are even being made.

I wished. I mean Jerry Nelsons the voice for Biff and Richerd was Sully but since Sully never spoke why not bring them back. I know that He didn't talk so why not. just let some one else preforme Sully again. Now that would be cool to see at least some old characters. U know why not. I'm going to write to SS and see if they will be doing any new segments of Biff and Sully. Thats a good thing to write to them about.

That is a good thing to write to them about, but don't expect too much in actual results. Sesame Workshop seems pretty definite in the direction it's taking and does not seem interested in listening to nostalgic adults. What they fail to realize is that the needs of nostalgic adults and the needs of children today are not in competition. Many parents would like to share the same good memories and educational fun with their children.
