I Need Some Advice

Hey guys!

I need you all to listen to me. Many of you may know who Hilary Duff is. You know, she's that teen pop star who is only 16, and I have never even heard of anyone as young as she is becoming famous. Now I think that she is very sweet, talented, and beautiful. Yet, at the same time, I can't help but feel a bit jealous of her because she's so famous. I really wish I were famous like her, because I can play the piano really really well, but unfortunately, most of the songs I play are from Sesame Street, which really sets me apart from the "in-crowd". So does anyone have any advice for someone like me? I would really appreciate it if you do.

Thank you.

Please stop, this is getting very repetitive.

He knows that. That's why he's asking for advice. He wants to be welcome here. Is that so hard to accept?

Yes, I don't think anyone should be put down for what they post on here as long as it's not obscene or inflammatory. As Muppet fans, we all have some unique thoughts and I think this should be a safe place to talk about them. We tend to forget that no one is forced to read or respond to anyone's messages on here. I'm not a moderator; just my 2 cents.

You need to learn to like and accept yourself for who YOU are, not what you or someone else thinks you should be. If you think you need to be famous to be happy you are going to be very disappointed.

And sseta, this is something that really dosen't have anything to do with Sesame Street or Muppets and I think it might be more appropriate in either the general discussion or friends and family forum.

No, but there's a number of ways someone can make themselves welcome here. Some work better than others.

And I think it goes without saying that everyone (except for trolls, flamers and other troublemakers) is welcome at Muppetcentral.

BTW, I think sseta is a 'she', not a 'he'

That's actually where I was going to put it. I don't know how it ended up in this forum, and it does, a little bit. I wish people would like me for playing Sesame Street songs, but no one does.

True, but if a message makes us uncomfortable, we can just as easily ignore it as respond negatively. Sometimes silence says much more and in a much more polite fashion. It's funny that we tend to think of an unwanted message as invading our space when we really make a choice to come online and read it. Just some more food for thought. The moderator is the one who really decides.
