Since signing on only a few days ago,I realized this is a great site. Lots of helpfull hints and its good to see so many other people interested in puppets. I really love marionetts as well as collecting old books on building them. I have found though that bulding muppet syle puppets is more rewarding. They always get a smile as a reaction.
Why do you do it?

I personally like 'muppet style' puppets because they're what I'm most familiar with and seem to be the most expressive. While other puppetry styles are perfectly valid, there's just something 'engaging' about a muppet-style puppet.
