hey gang,

lastnight around 3am My heart felted like i wanted to POP out of my chest, so i sat up on my bed then walked to the bathroom and sat on the tolit for 10mins and then walked back to my room thinking it would go away... no i felt worse and SCARED the H E dubble hocky sticks out of me! so i got out of bed and woke my mom n dad up, yeah i'm 21 and i STILL wake my mom n dad up, lol. dad asked me what happend and put his head next to my chest and my pauls and mom asked if i WANTED to go to the hospitl and i sayed no then she told me TRY to sleep on the love seat in the living room and she sleeped next to me. called my aunt who IS a doc and told her she sayed IT WAS a panic attack. I will NEVER for get my first and how frightening it was. :frown:

does ANY one else on MC get em or have em? it be nice to talk to someone who gets um and I've been googlein it to read about it. SOME people had em for 20 years or more! :sympathy: a lady at work told me (she got em and a few other ppl from work told me this too...) If I feel an attack coming on, try breathing deeply & slowly or concentrating on something, like the second hand of a clock...pinch myself?!? do these work I've been doin the breathing deeply & slowly thing she also sayed " stevie you'd be surprised how it snaps you back into reality! or watch a Disney movie or walk or watch tv to get your mide off it too"

thanks guys!

Yeah, I had them for a little while. It was over little stuff, too, like when I walked across the street to get a gallon of tea from my house and some kids came over and asked if I wanted to play outside. See, I just can't do multiple things at one time. Then, the next night, my mom was fighting with her then boyfriend, and in an attempt to make peace, I fell to the floor and had a mild seizure.

I wish I could be there to talk to you in person, Stevie. Luckily for me, I only had two attacks, and like you, I was frightened, as well. So, hopefully, these won't last much longer for you. But all the same, if you need to talk to me more, just send me a PM.

Take care, Stevie,
Brian

I'm sorry to hear about that. Hopefully that won't happen again.

I remember havine one or two of those panic attacks in my life. I end up waking up and bouncing one huge bounce on my bed. Usually from a nightmare. I pray that you'll be okay soon.

In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

Ouch! Can't say I've ever had anything like that; my panic/paranoia attacks usually manifest themselves as headaches or stomachaches or things like that.

Hang in there, Stevie. As my old mum says, "Like gallstones, this too shall pass."
