Something bad happend today i was playing with my litte three year old step daughter (Who is one of the most cutestes kids in the world) and she ran into my room and locked the door, This would not have been a problem if she had not been doing that and geting into the candy and stuff we where hiding from her and her three other siblings. I got on to her about locking the door, and she started crying. Then she started walking into the dinning room (still crying). Then all of a sudden she passed out, Now she has done that before crying and passing out. When she feel to the floor she hit her head on the meatl chair that we have.
Now her and mommy are gone to the hospital she has a big cut on her forehead, and it going to need stices.
I feel lower then dirt, I take the full blame for it. I don't know how to raise kids, i love the kids but its clear i just can't rasies them.
If anyone has anything to confert me please feel free. i feel low eough to have people bash me or hit me with rubber chickens.

Your stepdaughter is in my prayers, Dwayne. That's truely terrible, it's no one's fault, these things happen, you can't control them. :sympathy:

Kids will be kids.. and kids get hurt.. it's part of life and growing up.. this was not your fault. my sister used to ball her hands into fists and hold her breath til she turned blue and passed out.
she grew out of it eventually.. esp once she learned that she never got her way when she did that. heh..
and heck, I fell once while playing and whacked my chin against the coffee table.. had to have stitches.. and most of my baby pictures show a bruise or cut or something somewhere on my head.. photographers probablly thought my parents beat me.. heh.. i'd escape from all the straps you could think of on a high chair and find my way - generally head first - to the floor..
she'll be fine
and you'll be fine too... parenting takes practise and time

meanwhile.. find better hiding places for stuff.. and move the locks higher up on the doors so the kids can't work them.. heh

Don't be so hard on yourself Dwayne. Anybody that has raised children can tell you they are a handful and are very ingenious in finding ways to get in trouble.
